Prohibits discharging or discriminating against an employee for reporting any injury, illness, or unsafe condition to the employer, agent of the employer, safety and health committee involved, or employee safety and health representative involved.

Increases penalties for certain violations of the industrial safety and health act.

Requires the director of the department of labor and industries to adjust certain civil penalty amounts to account for the percentage increase or decrease in the consumer price index.
