Reforming and streamlining the sentencing guidelines commission for the purpose of saving money.


Provides that the sentencing guidelines commission is advisory only and may only advise the supreme court, the governor, or the legislature as deemed necessary by the supreme court, the governor, or the legislature.

Requires the department of social and health services to serve as a clearinghouse and information center for the collection, preparation, analysis, and dissemination of information on state and local juvenile sentencing practices and juveniles sentenced as adults.
