On page 2, beginning on line 1, after "spillage" strike all
material through "used" on line 4 and insert ". ((Covering of such
loads is not required if six inches of freeboard is maintained within
the bed)) A cover is not required under this subsection (3)(a) as long
as the load does not exceed the freeboard of the bed"
On page 2, line 9, after "spillage." insert "A cover is not required under this subsection (3)(b) as long as the load does not exceed the freeboard of the bed."
EFFECT: Does not require a cover for a vehicle operating on a paved public highway with a load of dirt, sand, rocks, or gravel as long as the load does not exceed the freeboard of the bed.
