On page 2, beginning on line 32, after "(5)" strike all material
through "information." on line 38 and insert "All wireless
telecommunications providers and resellers of wireless
telecommunications services registered to do business in the state of
Washington shall:
(a) Within thirty days of the effective date of this section,
designate an emergency contact to facilitate law enforcement agency
requests for call location information in accordance with this section
and submit emergency contact information to the Washington state
patrol; and
(b) Update this information and notify the Washington state patrol
immediately of any changes to the emergency contact information."
EFFECT: Requires wireless telecommunications providers and resellers of such services to provide emergency contact information to the Washington State Patrol within thirty days of the effective date of the section and to notify the Washington State Patrol immediately if there is a change to the emergency contact information.
