On page 6, after line 10, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 3 A new section is added to chapter 51.04 RCW
to read as follows:
The state shall recover from an employer who has entered into a
settlement agreement pursuant to RCW 51.04.063 the amount of any state-provided public assistance paid to or on behalf of an employee with
whom the employer entered into a settlement agreement. State-provided
public assistance programs are any programs that offer cash, food,
medical, or housing assistance to qualified individuals."

EFFECT: The state shall recover from an employer who has entered into a settlement agreement the amount of any state-provided public assistance paid to or on behalf of an employee with whom the employer entered into a settlement agreement.
