EFFECT: Removes from the bill the sections that did the
following:
Permitting OSPI to provide online access rather than written
information about meningococcal and human papillomavirus diseases and
their vaccinations, unless the parent specifically requests written
information;
Permitting OSPI to offer training every 4 years instead of annually
on a primary prevention program for child abuse and neglect, except
that new employees must receive training within the first year of their
hire date;
Permitting school districts to provide a copy of the school
district's sexual harassment policy online instead of providing the
written policy to each employee; and providing training to only new
employees on the policy instead of annual training;
Repealing the requirement that OSPI must provide information about
the immunization program of school-age children against certain
vaccine-preventable diseases;
Repealing the requirement that OSPI must include information in
traffic safety courses on driving safely among bicyclists and
pedestrians;
Repealing the requirement that the OSPI, the Office of the Attorney
General, and the Washington State Bar Association must develop a
volunteer-based conflict resolution and mediation program for use in
community groups;
Suspending the Washington Civil Liberties Public Education program
until July 1, 2015, unless private funds are available; and
Suspending the requirements for OSPI to review current policies and
assess the adequacy of programs for children with incarcerated parents
and adopt additional policies.
