Background:
The Liquor Control Board (LCB) licenses retailers of beer, wine, and spirits. The LCB issues various kinds of licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages, among them the snack bar license. A snack bar licensee may serve beer by the opened bottle or can for on-premises consumption only and only where the sale of beer is not the principal business.
Summary of Bill:
Snack bar licensees may sell wine by the individual glass for on-premises consumption in an area to be approved by the LCB.
Appropriation: None.
Fiscal Note: Not requested.
Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of the session in which the bill is passed.
