Title: An act relating to capital budget appropriation transparency.
Brief Description: Requiring a summary of capital appropriations by legislative district to accompany each capital appropriations bill.

Background: The capital budget appropriation bill is accompanied by documents that show detailed project lists and the various fund sources used to support those projects. In many cases the location of the projects is known, but is currently not displayed in the accompanied budget documents.
Summary of Bill: Budget documents that accompany capital budget bills must summarize proposed capital spending by legislative district. The information must show legislative district amounts for the total capital projects, competitive loan programs, state agency projects, higher education facilities, and all other projects with an identified legislative district.
