AN ACT Relating to promoting economic development by providing information to businesses; and amending RCW 19.02.050.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
Sec. 1 RCW 19.02.050 and 2011 c 298 s 6 are each amended to read
as follows:
((The legislature hereby directs the full participation by the
following agencies)) (1) Each of the following agencies must fully
participate in the implementation of this chapter:
(((1))) (a) Department of agriculture;
(((2))) (b) Secretary of state;
(((3))) (c) Department of social and health services;
(((4))) (d) Department of revenue;
(((5))) (e) Department of fish and wildlife;
(((6))) (f) Employment security department;
(((7))) (g) Department of labor and industries;
(((8) Department of commerce;)) (h) Liquor control board;
(9)
(((10))) (i) Department of health;
(((11))) (j) Department of licensing;
(((12) Parks and recreation commission;)) (k) Utilities and transportation commission; ((
(13)and)) (l) Board of accountancy;
(14)
(m) Department of archaeology and historic preservation;
(n) Department of early learning;
(o) Department of ecology;
(p) Department of financial institutions;
(q) Department of transportation;
(r) Gambling commission;
(s) Horse racing commission;
(t) Office of the insurance commissioner;
(u) State lottery;
(v) Student achievement council;
(w) Washington state patrol;
(x) Workforce training and education coordinating board; and
(y) Other agencies as determined by the governor.
(2) Each agency will be considered as fully participating upon
providing the department with the application and the information
identifying the requirements to complete the application for every
business license issued by the agency.
(3) Each agency, using a format acceptable to the department, must
certify its full participation to the department by the November 1st of
each year, beginning November 1, 2013. If an agency has not submitted
all the licensing information necessary for full participation, the
agency must instead submit a progress report and explanation to the
department. The department shall compile the information submitted by
each agency, and submit an aggregate report to the governor and the
economic development committees of the legislature by January 1st of
each year, beginning January 1, 2014.
