Gives natural resources investigators general law enforcement authority.

Requires the commissioner of public lands to maintain and employ a force of natural resource investigators to ensure enforcement actions are focused primarily on the protection of state-owned lands and property and natural resources managed by the department of natural resources.

Requires an employee of the department of natural resources to be certified by the criminal justice training commission in order to qualify as a general authority Washington peace officer.
