Requires the office of the superintendent of public instruction to: (1) In consultation with school districts and stakeholder groups, develop guidance for a medical emergency response and automated external defibrillator program for high schools; and

(2) In consultation with the department of health, assist districts in carrying out the program.

Requires school districts that operate a high school to offer instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation to students.
