HB 1714 - DIGEST

Authorizes a governing body of a public agency to record its closed executive session meetings.

Requires a court, as a remedy for an intentional violation of the open public meetings act, to order the recording of a governing body's closed executive sessions for a period of two years from the date of the order.

Allows the office of the attorney general to provide training on the open public meetings act and approve any acceptable course of training to be offered by a governmental body or other entity.
