Requires an ambulance to have in the cab of the ambulance: (1) A seat belt notification that includes a lighted message alarm; and

(2) Air bags that meet federal regulations.

Requires the Washington state patrol, in partnership with the Washington fire chiefs, to study the need and feasibility of regional accident prevention programs for ambulance and medic unit operators, including the use of driver simulators.
