Prohibits a governmental entity from destroying biological material collected, or work product generated, by law enforcement during or in connection with a criminal investigation or case relating to a felony offense.

Creates a work group on preservation of evidence for criminal justice purposes to study and make recommendations regarding the establishment of statewide standards for preserving biological material in felony cases in this state.
