Requiring the reporting of highway construction project errors.


(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)


Requires the department of transportation to submit a report to the transportation committees of the legislature detailing engineering errors on highway construction projects resulting in project cost increases in excess of five hundred thousand dollars.

Requires submission of an initial report of an engineering error within thirty days of the engineering error occurring and a full report within ninety days of the engineering error occurring.

Eliminates the Washington global health technologies and product development competitiveness program's board of directors and requires the life sciences discovery fund authority to administer or contract with a qualified nonprofit organization to administer the Washington global health technologies and product development competitiveness program.
