Establishes the alliance for student success in education and training (ASSET) program to increase connections and access to work-integrated learning opportunities, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. |
Requires the workforce training and education coordinating board, in consultation with the office of the superintendent of public instruction, to design and implement a performance monitoring system to track the outcomes of the ASSET program. |
Requires the office of the superintendent of public instruction to allocate grants to a minimum of two high schools and one skill center to each implement a dropout reengagement program aligned with entry into a high-demand occupation. |
