    On page 1, at the beginning of line 6, insert "(1)"

    On page 1, after line 9, insert the following:

    "(2) The attorney general may investigate any complaint that a third-party payor has released health care information in manner not compliant with subsection (1) of this section and may impose penalties of up to one thousand dollars for each violation."

EFFECT:   Authorizes the Attorney General to investigate complaints that third-party payors have inappropriately released health care information and establishes a penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation.
