NEW SECTION. Sec. 7. "A new section is added to chapter 82.04 RCW to read as follows:
(1) This chapter does not apply to grants received by a nonprofit organization from the matching fund competitive grant program established in RCW
70.93.180(1)(b)(ii).
(2) This section is not subject to the requirements of RCW
82.32.805 and 82.32.808, and is not subject to an expiration date."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title.
EFFECT: Exempts from the business and occupation tax any grants received by nonprofit organizations from the department of ecology's matching fund competitive grant program for statewide or local education programs focused on litter control, waste reduction, recycling, and composting.
