    On page 3, line 29 of the striking amendment, after "within" strike "one year" and insert "two years"

    On page 3, beginning on line 30 of the striking amendment, after "been" strike "hired to lobby the county commission" and insert "a registered lobbyist that lobbies the county commission"

    On page 3, line 37 of the striking amendment, after "county" strike ", state, or federal"

    On page 5, line 15 of the striking amendment, after "units" strike ", natural communities,"

EFFECT:  Makes the following changes to the striking amendment:

(1) Adjusts the time within which a member of the redistricting committee is prohibited from having been a consultant for, contractor with, or lobbyist lobbying the county commission from one year to two years before appointment to the commission.

(2) Changes the term "hired to lobby" to "registered lobbyist."

(3) Limits the prohibition on a member of the redistricting committee from actively participating in or contributing to any political campaign to candidates for county elective office (removes federal and state office).

(4) Removes "natural communities" from the criteria for establishing district boundaries.
