On page 1, beginning on line 5 of the amendment, after "seed" strike all material through "pounds" on line 6 and insert "through a contract that is over two thousand five hundred dollars in value"

On page 1, line 13 of the amendment, after "All" strike all material through "agency" and insert "agency contracts for the purchase of seed over two thousand five hundred dollars in value"

On page 1, beginning on line 17 of the amendment, after "section," strike all material through "stock." on line 22 and insert "tree seed and seed of woody species are not included."

On page 1, line 25 of the amendment, after "avoiding the" strike "forty pound lot" and insert "two thousand five hundred dollar"

EFFECT: (1) Provides that agencies' obligations to require suppliers of seed to ensure the identity and purity of seed through appropriate testing is triggered when an agency contract for the purchase of seed is over two thousand five hundred dollars in value, rather than when an agency contract is for the purchase of seed in a lot or lots that exceed forty pounds; and

(2) Removes the seed of wildflowers that are native to Washington and that are harvested from naturally occurring stock from the list of seed that is exempted from the bill's requirements.
