    On page 92, line 1, increase the General Fund--State (FY 2016) appropriation by $60,000.

    Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.

 

On page 95, after line 35, insert the following:

"(13) $60,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal year 2016 is provided solely for the department to conduct a feasibility study to assess cost effective options to notify neighbors of pesticide applications that occur through drift-prone methods.  The study shall consider, at a minimum, the cost and requirements necessary to develop and implement an information-sharing system on pesticide use in Washington state as well as the cost and requirements necessary to implement a communication program to notify neighbors of pesticide applications that occur through drift-prone methods.  No later than June 30, 2016, the department shall report to the appropriate fiscal committees of the legislature on the feasibility of such programs."

 

 

 

 

 

       EFFECT: Provides funding for a feasibility study on neighborhood communication on pesticide drift.

 

       FISCAL IMPACT: $60,000 GF-S for FY 2016
