    On page 6, after line 11, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3. A new section is added to chapter 51.04 RCW to read as follows:

    The state shall recover from an employer who has entered into a settlement agreement pursuant to RCW 51.04.063 the amount of any state- provided public assistance paid to or on behalf of an employee with whom the employer entered into a settlement agreement.  State-provided public assistance programs are any programs that offer cash, food, medical, or housing assistance to qualified individuals."

    On page 1, line 3 of the title, after "51.04.063;" insert "adding a new section to chapter 51.04 RCW;"

EFFECT:   The state shall recover from an employer who has entered into a settlement agreement the amount of any state-provided public assistance paid to or on behalf of an employee with whom the employer entered into a settlement agreement.
