Appropriation: None.

Fiscal Note: None.

Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of the session in which the bill is passed.

Staff Summary of Public Testimony:

(In support) The Working Connections Child Care program provides subsidies for before and after school care, which has always served children through the age of 12. This bill would fix a technical error in statute so the Department of Early Learning can continue serving children through the age of 12 in school-age child care.

(Opposed) None.

Persons Testifying: Representative Kagi, prime sponsor.
