HB 1059 - DIGEST
(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

Addresses committed sexually violent predators with regard to: (1) The exclusion of evidence from an expert on a committed predator's behalf if he or she does not participate in the department of social and health services' most recent annual review interview and evaluation; and

(2) Suspension of the annual examination requirement while the committed predator is awaiting trial for unconditional release.

Requires a court, before authorizing the conditional release of a committed predator to a less-restrictive alternative, to consider if it is appropriate for the release to occur to the predator's county of commitment.
