HB 2729 - DIGEST

Establishes the school choice act.

Requires the office of the superintendent of public instruction to grant the request of a student's parent or guardian for the student to enroll in and attend a common school if certain conditions are met.

Requires each school to include in its annual performance report the performance of the school and the school district on the Washington achievement index.

Requires the state board of education, beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, to modify the Washington achievement index to identify schools using an A through F grading system.
