SB 5680 - DIGEST

Requires the department of health to conduct a performance audit and evaluation of the family medicine residency programs created in chapter 70.112 RCW.

Requires the schools of medicine to coordinate with the office of student financial assistance to notify prospective family medicine students and residents of their eligibility for the health professional loan repayment and scholarship program.

Creates a family medicine education advisory board and requires the board to consider and provide recommendations on the selection of areas within the state where affiliate residency programs could exist, the allocation of funds appropriated, and the procedures for review and evaluation of the residency programs.
