SB 6488 - DIGEST
(AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 2/16/16)

Requires the state health care authority to: (1) In consultation with the office of the insurance commissioner, apply to the federal government for a waiver to permit employers in this state to integrate certain employer health care arrangements with individual market policies; and

(2) In preparing the application, provide public notice and a comment period before submitting the application.

Requires the process to include a separate process for meaningful consultation with the federally recognized Indian tribes.

Provides that this act is null and void if appropriations are not approved.
