    On page 1, line 18, after "RCW 36.70A.290(2);" strike "or"

    On page 2, on line 3, after "order" insert "; or

    (3)  If a county is determined not to be in compliance with the rural element of this chapter to protect surface water and groundwater resources, and must update its county comprehensive plan to address the non-compliance, the updated comprehensive plan is effective upon the date of adoption by the county"

EFFECT:  Provides that if a county is required to update its comprehensive plan because the rural element of the comprehensive plan does not comply with the Growth Management Act's requirement to protect surface water and groundwater resources, the effective date of the updated comprehensive plan is the date that the county adopts the updated comprehensive plan.
