AN ACT Relating to income eligibility for temporary assistance for needy families benefits for a child who lives with a nonparent caregiver; creating a new section; repealing RCW
74.12.037; and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. RCW 74.12.037 (Income eligibility—Unearned income exemption) and 2014 c 75 s 1 & 2011 1st sp.s. c 42 s 4 are each repealed. NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. If specific funding for the purposes of this act, referencing this act by bill or chapter number, is not provided by June 30, 2017, in the omnibus appropriations act, this act is null and void.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. This act takes effect on November 1, 2017.
