WHEREAS, The Senate adopted permanent rules for the 2017-2019 biennium under Senate Resolution 8602, as amended by Senate Resolution 8651; and

WHEREAS, The notice requirements set forth in Senate Rule 35 have been satisfied;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That a new rule is added to the Senate rules to read as follows:

"RULES RELATING TO SPECIAL SESSIONS

Rule 70. During a special session, the Senate Ways and Means chair must be in Olympia and available for budget negotiations at least once every three days if the operating budget has not passed."
