On page 74, after line 33, insert the following:

"(35) The department may not advertise or let a contract for the pedestrian and bike path between Steilacoom-DuPont Road and Berkeley Street, a subproject of the I-5 JBLM Corridor Improvement project (M00100R), until the department conducts additional community outreach to evaluate an alternative trail route."

EFFECT: Requires the department to conduct additional community outreach to evaluate an alternative trail route before advertising or letting the contract for the pedestrian and bike path subproject of the I-5 JBLM Corridor Improvement project.

FISCAL IMPACT: No net change to appropriated levels.
