On page 4, after line 37, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 5. A new section is added to chapter 43.70 RCW to read as follows:
(1) By January 1, 2020, the department must develop and make available written materials providing information on potential adverse reactions to vaccinations.
(2) Before administering any vaccine, a health care provider licensed under Title 18 RCW must provide the materials to the person to be immunized, or in the case of a child, to the child's parent or legal guardian, or any adult in loco parentis to the child."

EFFECT: Requires health care providers to provide written information concerning potential adverse reactions to vaccines to individuals or their parent or guardian before administering a vaccine.
