On page 2, after line 7, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 28A.320 RCW to read as follows:
School districts and associated student bodies under chapter 28A.325 RCW may not require the purchase of an associated student body card in order for a student to participate in school activities, including school-based athletic programs."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Prohibits school districts and associated student bodies from requiring the purchase of an ASB card in order to participate in school activities or athletics.
