On page 20, after line 35, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 15. A new section is added to chapter 18.79 RCW to read as follows:
(1) The commission shall immediately suspend the multistate license or multistate licensure privilege of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse practicing in the state if the nurse crosses a legal primary picket line. The multistate license or multistate licensure privilege shall remain suspended until such time as the picket line is removed.
(2) A nurse practicing in the state under a multistate licensure privilege may not permanently replace a nurse licensed in the state who is exercising his or her constitutional rights.
(3) For the purposes of this section, "multistate license" and "multistate licensure privilege" have the meanings provided in section 3 of this act."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Requires that a nurse's multistate license or multistate licensure privilege be suspended if they cross a legal primary picket line.
