On page 4, after line 16, insert the following:
"(10) A city or local government may adopt their own policies, ordinances, or other regulations on the procedures and percentages by which rents can be raised. If a city or local government elects to adopt their own policies, ordinances, or other regulations in this manner, then they are exempt from this act."
On page 13, after line 5, insert the following:
"(10) A city or local government may adopt their own policies, ordinances, or other regulations on the procedures and percentages by which rents can be raised. If a city or local government elects to adopt their own policies, ordinances, or other regulations in this manner, then they are exempt from this act."
| EFFECT: Provides local governments with the authority to develop their own regulations for rent increases and exempts them from the bill if they elect to exercise this authority.
