On page 2, after line 26, insert the following:

"(3) The treasurer of any state that issues bonds to pay for the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project must notify the governors, transportation commissions, and transportation committees of the legislatures of the states of Oregon and Washington when the last of the bonds issued to pay for this project have been retired. Upon the receipt of this notification, the transportation commissions and departments of transportation must, within 30 days, stop collecting tolls on the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project."

EFFECT: Requires the treasurer of any state that issues bonds to pay for the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project to notify the governors, transportation commissions, and transportation committees of the legislatures of the states of Oregon and Washington when the last of the bonds issued to pay for the project have been retired. Upon the receipt of this notification, the transportation commissions and departments of transportation must, within 30 days, stop collecting tolls on the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project.
