On page 35, after line 10, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 608. Sections 301 through 308 of this act expire upon written notice from the department of commerce to the chief clerk of the house of representatives, the secretary of the senate, and the office of the code reviser that the national highway traffic safety administration has adopted minimum tire efficiency standards."

On page 35, beginning on line 18, after "dates;" strike all material through "dates." on line 19 and insert "providing expiration dates; and providing a contingent expiration date."
