Brief Description: Providing collector vehicles the ability to tow trailers.

Background:

A collector vehicle is defined in statute as a motor vehicle or travel trailer that is at least 30 years old. ?The owner may receive a collector vehicle plate assigned by the Department of Licensing, or the owner can provide an actual Washington state-issued license plate designated for general use in the year the vehicle was manufactured.?

A collector vehicle may only be used for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and occasional driving.

The collector vehicle registration is $35, and the plates are valid for the life of the vehicle, are not required to be renewed, and?must be displayed on the rear of the motor vehicle or travel trailer.

Summary:

A collector vehicle that is a motor vehicle may tow a trailer if the trailer is being used for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, and parades.
