On page 2, after line 9, insert the following:

"(iii) Prior to dismissing the charges pending against the defendant, the court shall provide an opportunity for victims and survivors of victims to present a statement personally or by representation."

EFFECT: Requires the court to provide an opportunity for victims and survivors of victims to present a statement personally or by representation prior to dismissing charges through the process established under the bill.
