On page 1, line 21 of the amendment, after "(2)" insert "The discussion required under subsection (1) of this section and the recommendations required under subsection (3) of this section may not include the removal of criminal penalties under RCW 26.44.080 for failure to make a mandatory report.

Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Prohibits the collaborative discussion led by the Legislative Youth Advisory Council (LYAC) about the requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse or neglect, and any recommendations the LYAC has for amending these laws, from including the removal of criminal penalties for failure to make a mandatory report.
