On page 16, after line 7 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

"(6) This section expires July 1, 2029."

On page 17, line 33 of the striking amendment, after "(1)" strike "In" and insert "Until July 1, 2029, in"

On page 19, line 3 of the striking amendment, after "(9)" strike "Whenever" and insert "Until July 1, 2029, whenever"

EFFECT: Creates a July 1, 2029, expiration date for providing the eligibility requirements for the office of sheriff, for when a vacancy is created in the office of sheriff, and for when an elected law enforcement official has been decertified by the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
