On page 17, beginning on line 33 of the striking amendment, after "(1)" strike all material through "RCW 36.28.025" on page 18, line 3 and insert "Recognizing the due process requirements an elected sheriff is guaranteed in completing the elected term under the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution, an elected sheriff may only be removed from office through a trial in the superior court of the county where he or she sat, with full right to appeal as any other case having original jurisdiction in a superior court of the state."

On page 18, beginning on line 14 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 12

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
