On page 26, line 29 of the striking amendment, after "Sec. 19." strike "Sections 6, 7, and 10 of this act take" and insert "This act takes"
On page 26, beginning on line 31 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 20
Renumber the remaining section consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
| EFFECT: Modifies the effective date so that the entire act takes effect January 1, 2027, rather than solely the sections providing limitations on the use of volunteers and youth cadets and adding requirements for the use of specially commissioned Washington peace officers by law enforcement agencies. Removes the emergency clause, and effective date of April 30, 2026, for the remainder of the act. |
