On page 8, line 34 of the striking amendment, after "(c)" insert "For purposes of this section, "volunteer" has the same meaning as "volunteer law enforcement officer" in RCW 51.12.140."
On page 10, line 20 of the striking amendment, after "(c)" insert "For purposes of this section, "volunteer" has the same meaning as "volunteer law enforcement officer" in RCW 51.12.140."
On page 12, line 26 of the striking amendment, after "(c)" insert "For purposes of this section, "volunteer" has the same meaning as "volunteer law enforcement officer" in RCW 51.12.140."
On page 17, line 28 of the striking amendment, after "(c)" insert "For purposes of this section, "volunteer" has the same meaning as "volunteer law enforcement officer" in RCW 51.12.140."
| EFFECT: Defines "volunteer" as a person who is a member of a law enforcement department and (1) performs assigned or authorized duties for the law enforcement department by the person's own free choice, (2) serves in a position that is not basically clerical or secretarial in nature, (3) is registered and accepted as a volunteer by the law enforcement department, and (4) receives no monetary remuneration other than maintenance and reimbursement for actual expenses necessarily incurred in performing assigned duties.
