AN ACT Relating to unemployment compensation; and adding a new section to chapter 50.04 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 50.04 RCW to read as follows:

          The term "employment" shall not include the services of musicians or entertainers unless:

          (1) The services are performed for an employer whose principal business is music or entertainment; or

          (2) The contract of employment specifically assigns unemployment insurance tax liability to the employer.
