AN ACT Relating to homesteads; and amending RCW 6.12.105.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 30, chapter 260, Laws of 1984 and RCW 6.12.105 are each amended to read as follows:

          When a homestead ((declaration occurs before)) exemption has been established prior to a judgment, the judgment creditor has a lien on the value of the property in excess of the homestead exemption.  This lien commences when the judgment creditor records the judgment with the auditor of the county where the property is located.
