AN ACT Relating to public transportation benefit areas; and adding a new section to chapter 36.57A RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 36.57A RCW to read as follows:

          A public transportation benefit area receiving state motor vehicle excise tax moneys in which there is an airport served by an airline certified by the federal aviation administration shall maintain scheduled bus service to that airport and at such times as to serve the passengers wishing to deplane or enplane on the certified airline.
