AN ACT Relating to vocational rehabilitation counselors; and adding a new section to chapter 51.41 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 51.41 RCW to read as follows:

          The department shall establish a program for the review of the effectiveness of the vocational rehabilitation counselors to whom certificates have been granted and referrals made.  This program shall monitor the quality of the counseling services provided and the rate of return to work and the duration of the counseling period.  The department shall only make referrals to vocational rehabilitation counselors based on the criteria established in this program.
