AN ACT Relating to school districts with fewer than five kindergarten through eighth grade pupils; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.57 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section to added to chapter 28A.57 RCW to read as follows:

          Any school district with an average enrollment of fewer than five kindergarten through eighth grade pupils during the 1984-85 school year and an average enrollment of eight or more pupils in those same grade levels during the 1985-86 school year shall be deemed to have an average enrollment of five or more kindergarten through eighth grade pupils during the 1984-85 school year for the purposes of RCW 28A.57.200.
