AN ACT Relating to motor vehicle dealers; and adding a new section to chapter 46.70 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 46.70 RCW to read as follows:

          A motor vehicle dealer who sells used vehicles shall either display on the vehicle, or make available upon request, a written statement of the cash selling price of each used vehicle offered for sale.  This price is a binding offer to sell at or below the stated price on the part of the motor vehicle dealer.

          A violation of this section is an unfair business practice under chapter 19.86 RCW, the Consumer Protection Act.
